Ranger Led Kayak Eco Tour

Learn about the history, natural communities, and wildlife that make this outstanding Florida water so unique and important with a leisurely paddle on Lake Powell, the largest Coastal Dune Lake in North America w. This 90-minute guided kayak tour will be enjoyable for individuals, families and groups. Must be 12 years of age or older and able to independently navigate their own kayak. Space is limited. Advanced reservations are required to participate and can be done by calling 850.233.5059. Single kayak $40 cash. History Tour

Go beyond your park visit and discover the past and present on a ranger guided history walking tour of the grounds at Camp Helen. Learn about the rich history of Camp Helen’s Historic District, which is a Nationally Registered Historic Place, from the Hicks family building all the way to when Avondale Textile Mill utilized the property for their employee summer retreat. Project Dance

This inaugural three-day event gathers professional, pre-professional and aspiring dancers for training, performances and networking. The weekend is centered around an all day open air dance concert that is free to the public featuring local and international dance artistry in ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop and tap. In 2024, Project Dance will present concerts in Houston, New York City, Costa Rica, Paris and Panama City Beach. The event includes an Open Air Dance Performance Concert, Master dance classes, inspirational meetings, networking, and complimentary goody bags. To date, Project Dance has hosted events in over 28 major cities around the world including London, Singapore, HK, Manila, Sydney, Toronto, NY, Los Angeles and many more. 46th Annual Destin Seafood Festival

One of Destin’s most celebrated traditions, the Destin Seafood Festival kicks off the Destin Fishing Rodeo that extends through the entire month of October. The main festival is free to attend.
