61st Annual Florida Seafood Festival

Join in the fun at the Florida Seafood Festival in the historic town of Apalachicola. Held at the mouth of the Apalachicola river under the shady oaks of Apalachicola’s Battery Park, the festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events, and live music. There will be oyster eating and shucking contests, blue crab races, photo contest, parade, 5k Redfish Run, the Blessing of the Fleet, History of the Festival Exhibit and Tonging For Treasure. The annual Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, returns to the Florida Panhandle this month. Participants will begin with a 2.4 mile Gulf swim around the Russell-Fields Pier, then speed through beautiful Florida pines for the bike loop, and finish with a 26.2 mile run. The Blue Angels close out the season at Pensacola Beach with a handful of aerobatic and stunt pilots performing. General admission to the air show is free, and guests are welcome to bring their own portable lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. Each year Mountainfilm on Tour travels around the globe featuring a collection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and enlightening documentary short films selected from the best-loved films from the annual festival in Telluride. Go beyond your park visit and discover the past and present on a ranger guided history walking tour of the grounds at Camp Helen. Learn about the rich history of Camp Helen’s Historic District, which is a Nationally Registered Historic Place, from the Hicks family building all the way to when Avondale Textile Mill utilized the property for their employee summer retreat . This year’s charity partners include the Neurodiversity Resource of Northwest Florida, It Takes the Town, Cultural Arts Alliance, and the Point Washington Medical Clinic.
