Ranger-Led Nature Hike
Camp Helen State Park | Panama City Beach

Join a park ranger on a guided nature hike through Camp Helen State Park and start the year off on the right foot. During the hike, the rangers will share information about the flora and fauna found throughout the park. First Day Hikes are part of a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks to encourage people to get outdoors. Hundreds of guided hikes will be organized in all 50 states on New Year’s Day. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed toe shoes. The program is free with paid park entry of $4 per vehicle.

Emerald Coast Boat & Lifestyle Show
Aaron Bessant Park | Panama City Beach
March 6-8, 2026, 10:00 a.m to sunset (4:00 p.m. on Sun)
Dive into the ultimate coastal lifestyle experience at the Emerald Coast Boat & Lifestyle Show, where more than 400 boats - ranging from entry-level bow riders to 42’ center consoles with quad outboards - are on display alongside high-tech engines, electronics, and marine accessories. But it’s not just boats: explore stand-up paddleboards, fishing kayaks, beach cruising bicycles, electric carts, coastal fashion, luxury vehicles, and gourmet food trucks, all set against the newly enhanced 70-acre Aaron Bessant Park. The show kicks off Friday with a Red Carpet Opening Day from 10 a.m. to sunset, features Locals Day on Saturday 10 AM to sunset, and wraps up Sunday with Military Appreciation Day 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (free entry for active and retired military). Florida Luxe Arts Festival (FLLUXE)

Experience the vibrant creativity of the Florida Luxe Arts Festival (FLLUXE) in Historic Downtown Panama City, a free, immersive celebration of visual and performing arts. Now in its sixth year, FLLUXE brings murals, street painting, projection art, light installations, live music, and local vendors together in one colorful festival. Watch professional and local artists transform the streets with chalk art, take part in interactive workshops, and enjoy performances that light up the day and night. The festival expands across the Center for the Arts and Four Points Plaza, offering something for every art lover. History Tour

Go beyond your park visit and discover the past and present on a ranger guided history walking tour of the grounds at Camp Helen. Learn about the rich history of Camp Helen’s Historic District, which is a Nationally Registered Historic Place, from the Hicks family building all the way to when Avondale Textile Mill utilized the property for their employee summer retreat . Rev your engines for this high-energy car show which brings together an impressive lineup of classics, hot rods, muscle cars, street rods, exotics, and more - all celebrating automotive passion and craftsmanship. Bluegrass by the Bay
