Guided Nature Hike

Go beyond your park visit and join Park Ranger staff for a nature hike on Camp Helen’s user-friendly trail system. Learn about the park’s flora and fauna and the larger ecosystem of the Florida Panhandle. This hike is great for all experience levels and requires moderate endurance. UNwineD returns for its eighth year, inviting residents and visitors to spend their weekend savoring the best wine, craft beer and spirits along with incredible cuisine from renowned area chefs and eateries. Presented by Publix, a portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Make-A-Wish, Heartland Animal Rescue and Beach Care Services charities. The weekend’s festivities kick off on Friday with an exclusive party hosted by Southern Living and Visit Panama City Beach, featuring a southern menu curated by culinary personality Ivy Odom and acclaimed wine expert Michael Green. History Tour

Go beyond your park visit and discover the past and present on a ranger guided history walking tour of the grounds at Camp Helen. Learn about the rich history of Camp Helen’s Historic District, which is a Nationally Registered Historic Place, from the Hicks family building all the way to when Avondale Textile Mill utilized the property for their employee summer retreat . Nature Connection “On Safari”

10th Annual 30A Cornhole Tournament

This multi-day festival is set to wine, dine, educate and entertain guests with a full roster of celebrity chefs, winemakers and mixologists along with over 600 wines and samples from the best area restaurants available to taste. The festival is a major fundraiser for the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation with proceeds benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida.
